Our Care Team

Our care workforce

We provide high quality trained care professionals from all walks of life, who share the same passion and drive to help our local communities.

The foundation of successful care

Treating our employees well is crucial to our success. The Hygea Way focuses on nurturing and supporting our care professionals as we do for our clients.

We value and empower our employees to provide outstanding care. We employ passionate individuals who uphold our principles and passion for quality care.

A diverse working relationship

Success comes from using everyone’s diverse experiences, skills, and knowledge. We encourage collaboration and open communication so that everyone can contribute and grow.

Supervision sessions allow team members to discuss progress, share insights, and receive feedback. This helps identify areas for improvement and promotes learning from each other.

All staff members are involved in decision-making to promote unity and shared ownership. This approach ensures everyone’s voice is heard and fosters solid relationships for effective problem-solving and decision-making.

Our commitment to leveraging our team’s strengths, providing growth opportunities, and fostering collaboration leads to better outcomes for our organisation and the people we serve.

A successful care team

A successful care team needs to integrate multidisciplinary skills and effective communication harmoniously.

Communication is crucial. Regular, clear, and precise communication is needed to share patient information, coordinate treatment plans, and manage expectations.

Care must be tailored to each patient’s unique needs, with their values and preferences as the guiding light in every decision.

Leaders guide and support the team, play a pivotal role in addressing conflicts, and ensure the team functions optimally.

The success of a care team is measured by its ability to provide high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care that leads to positive patient outcomes.

Professional training in care

Hygea Homecare is committed to delivering high-quality care through a well-trained workforce. Our carers complete mandatory training courses to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.

Our comprehensive training program includes manual handling, first aid, medication administration, and safeguarding courses. These courses give our carers the tools they need to ensure the safety and well-being of those in their care.

We also offer over 90 additional training modules covering communication, dementia care, infection control, and nutrition.

Investing in our caregivers’ professional development is a priority at Hygea Homecare.
